Accessibility
Statement
We want everyone to be able to shop MindStrips — including people who use assistive technology.
Mindstrip LLC, doing business as MindStrips, is committed to making mindstrips.com accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and to keep it in line with recognized standards.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
What we've done
Measures we have taken across our store include: descriptive alternative text for meaningful images; semantic headings and page structure; labels associated with every form field; keyboard operability for interactive controls, including our product selectors; visible focus indicators for keyboard users; color combinations chosen to meet AA contrast ratios; support for browser zoom and text resizing; respect for the operating system's "reduce motion" setting; and a "skip to content" link. We test with keyboard navigation and screen-reader software and address issues as we find them.
Ongoing effort & known limitations
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time project. Some content is provided by third parties — for example, our checkout is operated by Shopify, and payment and shipping widgets are provided by their respective vendors — and while we choose partners who prioritize accessibility, we do not fully control those experiences. If you encounter any area of our site that is difficult to use, we want to hear about it.
Need help, or hit a barrier?
If you have trouble accessing any part of mindstrips.com, or you'd like to complete a purchase or get support in a different way, please contact us and a member of our team will help you personally — including placing an order for you if needed. Email hello@mindstrips.com and put "Accessibility" in the subject line. We aim to respond within 3 business days.
When you reach out, it helps us to know the page or task you were trying to complete, the assistive technology or browser you were using, and a description of the problem — but none of that is required to get help.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of MindStrips. Your input helps us improve for everyone.
